Students can combine their research into a class book. How Animals Use Smells (Found by Becca – a future teacher.Have students choose a favorite animal and research their social lives, family systems, living situation, and of course what a group of that animal is called. In the beginning of this book, Wright discusses the definition of collective noun and how animals have “varied social lives, family systems, and living situations.” This is begs for students to research and to find out more about animals. Research is constantly talking about how education is squashing the natural wonderment children have, so let’s bring it back. These pages are great to hook students into learning more. Either at the end or in the beginning of the books, the author tends to provide more information or ways to extend learning. One thing about newer nonfiction picture books is that they beg for students to conduct further inquiry. This book would be a great addition to any classroom library, even the art room library. Do you know what a group of penguins are called? A group of monkeys or peacocks? I feel a little smarter after finishing the book.įrom my experience teaching all grades between first and eighth, I’m going to go out on a limb and say all kids are One of my personal favorite pictures, maybe because I LOVE pigs! Yes, perhaps I should have known all of these collective nouns associated with animals, but alas, I did not. Pictures aside, I finished this book, because I was learning. She has these beautiful drawings on cards and framed pictures. When I visited Anna Wright’s webpage, I realized that she is an artist first. Regardless of how they were created, they are stunning. Sometimes I thought watercolor, next it looked like fabric collages, next pencil drawings. By no stretch of the imagination am I an artist, so I had no idea how the pictures were done. I kept touching the pages, expecting there to be texture. Maybe I didn’t read the whole title (This might be the impulsivity that my husband complains about?) Each page has a drawing similar to the cover art that is mesmerizing. I don’t remember if it was on a blog or on Amazon, but I was captivated by the cover, so I immediately ordered this book.Īdmittedly, I didn’t realize what the book was. I came across a picture of this book online.

They were given front fender windsplits, creased lower beltline, new rooflines, and flatter wheel openings. The styling of the Firebird was modified similarly to those of the Chevrolet Camaro. With the Trans Am option, the base price rose to $3,560 for the hardtop coupe and $3,770 for the convertible. The hardtop coupe had a base price of $2,830 and the convertible listed at $3,045. The hardtop coupe accounted for 75,362 sales while 11,649 buyers selected the convertible. Total production for the Firebird was down by over 20,000 vehicles compared to the 1968 model year. They had Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential and a variable-ratio power steering setup.Īuction entries : 3 1969 Pontiac Firebirdįor 1969, just 697 examples of the Trans Am were sold, including eight convertibles. At all four corners were wide F70-14 Polyglas tires on seven-inch Rally II wheels. The Trans Am had a well-engineered, heavy-duty, tuned suspension system that included special springs, shocks, and stabilizers. Transmission options included a three or four-speed manual or the high-performance M40 Turbo Hydramatic. For buyers seeking even more, Pontiac offered the Ram Air IV, which brought horsepower to 345. In base form, the Trans Am Ram Air II V-8 engine was rated at 335 horsepower. On the hood was a pair of functional air scooped which provided cold air for the 400 cubic-inch engine which breathed through dual exhaust pipes. On the front fenders were twin fiberglass, rear-facing scoops which acted as vents for the engine heat. The Trans Ams were painted in cameo white paint, had medium blue stripes, a full-width rear airfoil, and dark blue deluxe upholstery. Ben Harrison and Jim Wangers worked on product planning and marketing. Under the direction of Chief Engineer Bill Collins, Herb Adams worked on the chassis development. In March of 1969, Pontiac announced the arrival of the Trans Am option for its Firebird, based on the prior Pontiac Firebird Sport Turismo and Tunnel-Port racing projects. The late 1960s was an exciting time for the American automobile, as horsepower continued to rise as drivers went down the road a quarter-mile at a time. 'Trans Am' was also a known name in fact, Pontiac had to pay a $5 royalty per car to the SCCA due to the vehicle being named after this popular SCCA Trans-Am racing series. The name 'Firebird' was not new it had been used by GM on 1950s and early 1960s concept cars. It shared its platform with its GM Chevrolet sibling, the Camaro. The Pontiac Firebird was in production from 1967 through 2002. Netflix itself says it's available in more than 190 countries, with the notable exceptions of China, Crimea, North Korea and Syria. The better question here is to ask where Netflix isn't available. Huzzah.Īdditional features include the ability to add two extra members to your account that don't live with you and Netflix spatial audio. But if your hardware is good to go, you're good for 4K Ultra HD. If whatever device you're using to stream Netflix doesn't do it, you're out of luck. If your TV doesn't do it, you're out of luck. The caveat to all this is that you're going to need hardware that supports 4K resolution. The Premium plan also opens up things like HDR, which stands for high dynamic range and gets you a broader spectrum of color - basically making everything look better. The point is you've got four different devices going at once. You also can download content for offline viewing on as many as six devices at once, so there's that.īut the big jump for the Premium plan is that you now have access to "Ultra HD" content - otherwise known as 4K. So you can be watching on the TV in the living room while your spouse is watching in the bedroom and your kids are vegged out in their own rooms on tablets. This plan can be viewed on as many as four devices at a time. If you're serious about your Netflix and you're serious about it looking as good as it possibly can, you're going to want the Netflix Premium plan. The similarities between the two plans is that Standard offers subscribers the ability to watch Netflix content in full HD and the ability to watch on two supported devices at the same time. It also allows for subscribers to download content on two supported devices at a time and gives subscribers the ability to add one extra member who doesn't live with you. First, the Standard plan gives you access to all Netflix content, no restrictions. There's a few more things that differentiate Standard and Standard with Ads than just the removal of ads from this plan. With this plan you can watch Netflix on two supported devices at a time and watch in full HD. However, it is the most affordable tier of Netflix, costing just $6.99/£4.99 per month. The Netflix Standard with Ads tier allows you to watch just about everything that Netflix has to offer (there are a few exceptions), but as the name suggests, unlike other plans, it includes ads. Netflix Premium: $19.99/£15.99 a month Netflix Standard With Ads Netflix Basic with ads: $6.99/£4.99 a month Netflix has four streaming plans to choose from: The Netflix price will vary a little bit depending on which country you live in, but the bigger question is which plan you're subscribed to. Basic: £7.99 per month (existing subscribers only).Just like in North America, UK Netflix subscribers have lost the ability to sign up for the Basic plan, leaving only Standard and Premium. In addition, with Netflix cracking down on password sharing for accounts, subscribers can still share their account, but they will have to pay to add a new member, which costs $7.99 for each new member per month and only applies to the Standard and Premium plans. Basic: $11.99 (only for existing subscribers). This is what the streaming service currently offers new subscribers: Netflix recently made a big change with its plan options, removing the lowest-cost, ad-free Basic plan. The rest of the “pattern” is random because that was the look I was going for. The only thing I was mindful of was not putting two of the same exact color side-by-side. STEP ONE: Start by hot-gluing a row of pom poms around the bottom of the tree.Ī specific pattern of color doesn’t really matter unless that is your goal. The process is really easy and very difficult to “mess up” (if that’s even possible). How to Make a Mini Pom Pom Christmas Tree
Im already bracing myself once I hit global age because most of my builders will go straight for upgrading oil refinery to get the missile silo, university, and armory and library. Nothing against rushing to get the best troops and looting higher, but with limited builders and time, I’m not a fan of waiting that way lol IMO I’d rather not stress myself trying to do a bunch of things at once while waiting weeks for each to finish Little look forwards up into Industrial configuration al already built. I will post these swastika style bases for each age Im in as I am. Proper ressource protecting base layouts for every age in which it is senseful. In war base mode you can just move out the storages, mills, and markets out the wall and move the towers or stables in. I enjoy my occasional 10 stars to help my team, but the enemy bases failing to 5 star me is even greater.īut in general, I personally enjoy maxing out my bases and learning as much as I can during each age. Hi I find this symmetrical layout useful both here and way back in clash days. I do very well on current industrial and a handful of global bases (At kingdom league with 2400 medals), and I’m happy with the resources I get from it.ĭefense may not be too much of a factor in normal gameplay but a huge factor in war. I agree on the 5 star bonus, it helps a lot. IEEE AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE IN VIOLATION OF ANY APPLICABLE LAWS OR REGULATIONS. Pollution from various sources, such as industrial emissions and agricultural runoff, has contaminated air, soil, and water in many temperate deciduous forests. Invasive species can compete intensely with native flora and fauna, disrupt ecological balances, and reduce the diversity of native species. The introduction of non-native, invasive species is another factor that contributes to biodiversity/ species richness decline. Human Impacts on Temperate Deciduous Forest Ecosystems: Urbanization and Agriculture are Causes of Habitat Loss in Temperate Forests (Credit: LannaPhoto 2013. The conversion of forests into residential, industrial, and agricultural zones has fragmented and reduced the available habitat for many native species. Urbanization, agriculture, and industrial deforestation have all led to the destruction of vast areas of temperate deciduous forests. One of the most severe factors contributing to biodiversity decline is habitat loss. The severity of biodiversity decline in temperate deciduous forests can be assessed based on phenomena like habitat loss, invasive species, pollution, overharvesting, and climate change. Severity of Biodiversity Decline in Temperate Deciduous Forests The severity of this factor and its implications for temperate deciduous forests are a cause for concern. These ecosystems, which are characterized by their diverse plant and animal species, are under increasing threat of deterioration due to human activities. Biodiversity Decline: One of the Human Impacts on Temperate Deciduous Forest Ecosystemsīiodiversity decline is a major human impact on temperate deciduous forest ecosystems. This article discusses some human impacts on temperate deciduous forest ecosystems their severity and implications, as follows ġ). Human impacts of temperate deciduous forest ecosystems are biodiversity decline, habitat fragmentation, pollution, deforestation, changes in demographic composition, hybridization of native flora and fauna, and climatic changes. |
